So incredibly proud of my mom. She came home tonight from a flight super late, but we stayed up for an hour and drank some wine and just talked. She was telling me that at her conference for pastors, the conversation of gay marriage came up alot. Just last week she was telling me that she was uncomfortable with the word marriage being used because it is a religious term. But tonight she told me that she’s now ok with it, because Jesus never said anything about “marriage” in the bible, and it’s about love and commitment, so it’s okay. I love her. Not just for changing her mind, not that she ever had a problem with gay people to being with, but for actually allowing herself to be open to it, and to look at the “facts.” If a PASTOR can do it, why can’t the rest of the world?
